- The Albany Farmers Markets are every Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm in Collie Street. An established top spot to shop for the day to day and for the unexpected and unusual. The quality and range of products every week is enormous providing a place for local growers to sell their quality produce from across the region. There are vegetables and salads, organic beef and lamb, free range pork, bacon, ham, free range chicken, breads, cow, goat, sheep cheese and yoghurt, mussels, milk and cream, ice cream, olive oils, eggs, nuts, jam and preserves, plants and fresh flowers. All this together with a complementary selection of organic grown vegetables and fruit.
- The Albany Boatshed Markets are every Sunday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Boatshed on Princess Royal Drive, Albany. These markets feature local growers and producers of fresh and gourmet foods and Great Southern wines. In addition to the wonderful seasonal produce grown here in the Great Southern, talented local artisans showcase their beautiful and distinctive products. There is also live music to keep your toes tapping.
- Albany Entertainment Centre - For world-class theatre, opera, and touring musical acts.
- Albany Light Opera & Theatre Company (ALOTCo) - an artistic outlet for many fine and enthusiastic performers and musicians from the Albany district.

Winter - June, July, August
- Albany Classic – Around the Houses. Middleton Beach Holiday Park is a sponsor of this annual event every year in late-May or early-June. The Hillclimb takes place on the Saturday and the main "Round the Houses" race is on the Sunday.
- Whale watching season - From June to October, witness the majestic Humpback and Southern Right whales in King George Sound.
- The Albany Maritime Festival is annually in June/July. There are events at Albany Historic Whaling Station, Boatshed Markets etc.
- The Albany Surf Craft Challenge is held on the WA Day long weekend - an iconic 13km surf craft race and 2km beach run.
Spring - September, October, November
- The Southern Art and Craft Trail is held each year from late September to early October.
- The Albany Wildflower Festival is annually in September.
- The Bloom Festival is annually in September.
- Albany Show & Shine is held annually in September.
- Festival of Torbay - A local favourite you won't want to miss, held each year in October.
Summer - December, January, February

- The Binalup / Middleton Beach Festival - The ultimate summer festival at Binalup / Middleton Beach is on 26 Jan every year.
- Adventure and sunshine - The perfect time for swimming, snorkelling, and exploring the pristine coastline of the Southwest.
Autumn - March, April, May
- The Albany Harbour Swim is an annual Easter tradition - held on Easter Saturday each year. The 4km swim from Princess Royal Sailing Club to Albany Peace Park is open to individual swimmers, duos, and teams of four.

- Taste Great Southern is annually in May. The eleven day festival is over two weekends and boasts an incredible line up of more than 40 culinary experiences. There are long lunches, degustations, premium pairings, festivals, community markets, free events, award winning wine, fantastic local produce, amazing chefs and more. These events sell out fast, so we recommend booking your accommodation or site here well in advance.
- Albany Cup Day is held annually in March. Other horse races at the Albany Racing Club.
- Festival of Halls - 22 May – 7 June 2026. The Festival of Halls is a unique, community-focused celebration of heritage, culture, and creativity in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. Running from 22 May to 7 June 2026, the festival will activate 14 historic halls across the Albany District, transforming them into vibrant cultural hubs featuring a diverse program of music, art, storytelling, and community events. The project is designed to foster a deeper connection to local heritage, support local artists, and create a lasting legacy through a digital audio trail.

- Yes, we welcome your furry friends on caravan and camping sites during low and mid-season; however, we do not accept pets during school holidays or public holiday long weekends. Conditions apply, please refer to our Pets page here.
Are camp fires or fire pits allowed at the park?
- Open fires are prohibited in the park, but there is a cosy wood fireplace located in the Campers Kitchen, for all guests to enjoy in the cooler months.
- There are electric and gas BBQ’s in the park located by the pool, amenity block, camp kitchen and by gated entrance at far end of park.
What are the reception and office hours in Albany?
BIG4 Middleton Beach reception hours are:
- 8:00 am – 8:00 pm during low and mid-seasons
- 8:00 am – 9:00 pm during high season
